There’s no doubt about it, Vermonters love the outdoors. They seize every opportunity to get outside that they can. Even after the ski season is over, you’ll still find them riding down the mountains. The only difference is, instead of coming down on a pair of skis or a snowboard, they’ll be coming down the mountain on bikes!
Probably the best location for this in Vermont, or even the whole east coast, are the Kingdom Trails. Located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, it boasts over 100 miles of trails and receives around 100,000 visitors per year. It costs $15 to ride these trails, and all of that money is put right back towards maintaining their beautiful trail system. With difficulties ranging from beginner to expert, no matter who you are, you’ll find a way to have fun.
Once you’re finished riding the trails all day, you’ll be able to unwind at Mike’s Tiki Bar. Mike’s Tiki Bar is located right in the main parking lot, how convenient! They offer a wide array of local beers, so not only will you get a taste of Vermont mountain biking, you’ll also get a taste of those famous IPAs! If you get hungry, there’s a food truck right there serving hot food. What better way to end a day of biking than a beer and a burger?
